‘Round the Fire April 17th, 2022

Updated: Sep 21, 2022

Welcome to ‘Round the Fire where we look at what happened this week. Unfortunately, I’m not caught up on podcast recordings, so these are still only available in post form at the moment. I am working on getting up to date; this week I posted fifteen episodes and there are still thirty in editing and a lot more to record. The hope is to be done recording past posts by the end of May but we will see.

I just realized I released two new things this month but forgot to tell you about them. Let’s correct that, they are two new video series that I’m doing, “A Moment” and “Get Comfortable”.

“A Moment” is a sixty-second or less video, to track the progress of the plant and its life cycle. These are recorded monthly and scheduled to post daily throughout the following month; at the current, we revisit each plant about every month.

“Get Comfortable” is an in-depth look at the plant and each part that makes up the plant while taking note of all the features ones sees. We visit the same plants from the “A Moment” series, this time doing about ten to fifteen minute, visual plant sit meditations with the plant. These are recorded the month before they are posted and are currently released weekly on Wednesday.

These video series are geared for those of you who don’t have access to these plants, either because they don’t grow around you or for other reasons but would still like to be able to participate with the plants in this manner.

Herbers, this week nothing was posted just for you. I have been streamlining my processes a bit, and working on a few new offerings for you too. Hopefully, I will be able to share more detail soon.

Monday was a Plant check-in with Bee Balm which is just starting to come up for the year.

Tuesday, we started cleaning the bee garden; we are trying something new this year, burning in place. Normally we move all the leaves and debris to the burn pit in the backyard but this time we are moving it into the paths or driveway and burning it there, much easier.

Wednesday, we visited with Pawpaw in the newest episode of “Get Comfortable”.

Thursday, we did a check-in with a plant I don’t know, if you know what it is please let me know.

Friday was filter Friday, this week’s filter lets you put Scarlet Hibiscus flowers on your cheek. Head over to arizkattsherbs on Instagram to view this filter and others.

Other things that happened this week but haven’t made it to the site yet, are:

I attended a Niching Workshop with Tad from Marketing For Hippies through the Herbal Circle. It was a wonderful session where we worked to pinpoint our ideal member or client.

We finally received the coffee table we purchased a year ago; should have been joyous but it wasn’t since the table doesn’t function as advertised and is larger than expected but it is growing on us.

Went to check on the mullein and other plants at Nana’s, she will be here soon. She is in the process of moving out here which will be fun and interesting with a lot of projects to do.

That wraps up this episode of ‘Round the Fire, I hope you join me again next week for another episode. In the meantime, you can find everything we talked about on the website, Take care and see you soon.
