Laying Floor
Yesterday I spent the day at Nana's to finish laying her floors. As most of you know, she purchased this house in June 2021 and we have been fixing it since then. When I got there yesterday all that was left to do was lay the flooring in the living room and hall, cut the baseboards and attach them.
The floor is laid! This is a HUGE deal for me since I've laid 95-98% of the flooring in this house, and it isn't easy given that the subfloor isn't exactly level. Now, there are little things for her to finish like the baseboards and finish moving her stuff around but other than that we are done with the house. Next is the yard but that won't get the laser focus attention the house got.
Goldenrod Harvesting Starts

On the note of the yard, you may remember last October when Goldenrod Found was the post of the day. Well, it is that time of year again and it is back in full force at Nana's. During one of our breaks, we harvested a bunch. She loaded her dehydrator full and sent me home with a bucket full to do the same with. Our goal is to harvest a quarter to half the goldenrod flowers in her yard this year.
Goldenrod is one of my favorite plants, I'm absolutely in love with its golden flowers. I could sit or walk through fields of it all day long. It is also my second favorite design we carry in Creations (the shop).
Can't thank you enough for all the work you have put into my house. I love it all and can't wait to start the yard. I know you have lots you want planted, which is fine with me, and can't wait to get started with all of it.
