A Moment with Hosta (June)

Updated: Sep 21, 2022

It’s June 24th, and we are taking a moment with the Hostas. They were looking great but the deer found them. I recently moved some of our hostas from the tree well in the middle of the yard to the bed right in front of the house. I had hoped that it would save them from the deer since the others up here hadn’t been eaten. Instead, it seems I showed the deer where the bigger taster ones are. Guess it is time to find the cover cloth so that the plants have a chance to grow before the deer feast. It’s the time of year when it’s hot out and we are starting to have afternoon thunderstorms.

“A Moment” is a sixty-second or less video, to track the progress of the plant and its life cycle. These are recorded monthly and scheduled to post daily throughout the following month; at current, we revisit each plant about every month. Click here to view the rest of the series.
