We offer an engaging and educational one-hour salve-making workshop for you and up to five of your friends, right in your own home! During the workshop, you and your guests will learn how to make your own salve, and each person will leave with one ounce of salve - a $21 value Location Your location; must be within a 40-mile radius of Main & Maybank on Johns Island. Min age of guests This workshop is geared toward people 13 years of age and older. If you would like this workshop for a younger group, please contact me. Items Provided All materials needed to create a salve, including take-home containers and a handout reviewing what was covered in this workshop. Need Available at the Location An area large enough for you and your guests to gather and work that includes a table, access to outlets, and a refrigerator. Access to a restroom would be preferred. Each Guest Will Need Notebook, Pen, or Pencil Level Of Activity and Skill Needed Designed for beginning learners. No prior herbal or plant experience is needed, so you can jump right in! This workshop is an hour long, and most of that time is spent standing, walking, and creating herbal products. What To Expect When I arrive, you will show me the area we will be using for the workshop. I will need this area ready for me to set up the workshop. Once I have the workshop set up, we will all gather in the area and introduce ourselves. Then I will pass out the handouts and review what we will be doing. We will make a salve using hot plates and double boilers. When the salve finishes we will jar it up into take-home containers and clean up the work area. Take Homes 1 oz of Salve for each of the 6 guests or 6 oz of Salve total, in provided containers; a $21 value!
